About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the West Coast

ABOUT ME

I grew up just outside of beautiful Albany, New York. After high school graduation i immediately moved to Boulder, CO where I didn't know a soul, and started school at the CU Boulder for engineering. That taking up a lot of my time in the last 5 years, it was usually not top priority as I was overwhelmed with all the outdoor opportunity and Colorado lifestyle that surrounded me. I'm currently trying to figure out my next move in life it's starting with a bit of West Coast traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to practice moderation in many forms of life and although it's often tough in the world we live in, I try to think sustainable in what I consume whether its food, fuel, or other forms of energy. You can't get something for nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just starting my official couchsurfing.org journey and am sure it will bring me to exciting places with people i would have never otherwise have met. I've always been more than willing to let friends and strangers stay at my home and believe hospitality is truly a what-goes-around-comes-around way to live.

Interests

Gravity, playing music (guitar), long bike rides, live music, hiking and backpacking. I get pretty anxious if I can't get a good dose of the outdoors at least once a day. I've always been interested in how things work especially in nature and enjoy math and science. I like getting lost in new places (hopefully not on a mountain).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music has a huge influence in my life. I listen to/play jazz, bluegrass, and forms of rock music. Louis Armstrong, Bill Monroe, Jerry Garcia are some musicians I'm inspired by.
I'm hard to talk movies with, I like them just out of the loop (Probably haven't been to a movie theater in 7 years or so).
Currently reading "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" (Tom Wolfe), and "Under the Banner of Heaven"(Krakauer).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a crocodile entirely swallow a small human and watch the person fight its way back out through the Croc's throat to strangle the crocodile with their bare hands.
