ABOUT ME

My name is Mike and I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I love my city! Come visit and I'll show you around. In February 2018, I will be making my first trip to Ireland, hoping to hear some great live music, drink cold beer, eat hot food, and find some adventure and friends along the way.

At home, I work at Canadian Blood Services, a national, not-for-profit charitable organization that manages the blood system in Canada. I am very passionate about my job as my work effects the lives of Canadians all around the country! In my free time, I'm either playing music, watching movies, or spending time outdoors with friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences couchsurfing have been limited, though nothing but positive! While I love discovering how great somewhere new is on my own, I always love seeing it from the perspective of someone who's passionate about where they're from.

I'll go to the movies alone or with a group, but if we go together, be prepared for a beer and discussion after.

My 2017 goal was to read five books. As of December, I'm at 12 and hope to hit 15 before the end of the year!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my trip to Southeast Asia in 2014, I bought a motorcycle in Vietnam and rode it down the entire country on my own! Even bought a bike once I got back to Canada. An experience I will never forget and hope to do again.
