About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make my personal bubble as expansive and inclusive as I can manage in my short lifetime
ABOUT ME
My friends would say that I make awkward first impressions and that I am argumentative, and stubborn. That being said, I love to make people laugh and feel a strong obligation to always make guests in my home feel completely welcome and well cared for. I trust easily and give willingly.
PHILOSOPHY
I think the only personal philosophy I have is that setting a personal philosophy in stone (or even "in a hard disk on the Internet") is a bad idea. One's philosophy should be fluid; it should change every day.
That being said, there are a few basic things: Everyone deserves to live comfortably. Universal peace and suffrage are the most important things in the world and we must all strive to attain them. Structure is to be eschewed when possible, and when that is impossible, it should be created in a way that is as all-inclusive as possible (i.e. structures should be made to conform to people, and not the other way around).
Maybe more on this later. Possibly after Thailand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is a completely new concept to me, actually, but I hope to pursue it at length while I am in Thailand AND the next time I am living in an apartment with a room that could possibly be construed as a bedroom/livingroom (with a bed, or couch, or something). Currently I have none.

Music, Movies, and Books
Fight Club, the Dresden Dolls, and an Unexpected Light.
This only really represents the first things that came immediately to mind. To try to list everything important to me would be impossible, and I would leave out something major.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Instead of one really amazing things I will list two moderately amazing things:
1. I did 185 miles of the 205 mile Seattle to Portland bike ride...on my fixed-gear commuter bike.
2. I saw the Plain of Jars (in Laos) without a tour guide even though I can only say two words in Lao. Try this sometime and you will find out why it is such a feat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll make this longer later but for now it's just going to be bulleted list:
I can teach:
-Most anything about computer networking
-Most things about cooking
I want to learn:
-How to play the violin! This might be a bit hard to exchange over a web site. :-)
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Laos, Switzerland, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
