Hey, I'm Michael.

Australian guy who came to Japan to snowboard and is yet to leave (2 years later).

Now I'm teaching English at a public school here and loving it.

I'm up for anything, open-minded and easy-going. If I'm sitting still I'm not happy, I always need something to sink my teeth into.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed for a couple of weeks with a few different hosts when I first came to Japan, and now I have a couch of my own I figured I should open it up!

Interessi

Music. Playing it, listening to it, seeing it live.

Languages. For the time being I'm sinking everything I've got into learning Japanese. Maybe French next? Or Spanish?

Snowboarding. Nothing quite like that feeling.

Reading. I love to read, though I don't do it nearly as much as I'd like.

Trekking through the Ugandan rainforest all day in the pouring rain to spend an hour with a family of mountain gorillas.
