I am a 20-year-old in her 2nd year of Medicine at the University of Groningen :). My dream is to become a pediatric oncologist.

My traveling/couchsurfing experience:
With school I've been to England, Greece and Canada - amazing experiences. In January of 2017 my cousin and I went Couchsurfing in Serbia, and I am planning on going on a trip every year from now on! I can't wait to see more of the world and meet the fantastic people from everywhere. :) In July 2017 I went to Belgium with the same cousin. We hitchhiked to and through the country, visiting and couchsurfing in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Ostend and Louvain. It was so much fun to do! Hitchhiking and couchsurfing let you meet the most random and amazing people, it's absolutely fantastic. 2018 has already been a year with many travels abroad: to Bulgaria, Austria, and Mallorca. I am currently travelling on my own, 3 weeks to Spain and 3,5 weeks to the Faroe Islands.

My parents are used to me having over foreigners - I've had visitors from South Africa, Canada, Belgium, France and Germany. Last year we hosted our first couchsurfer, a boy from Slovakia. We had a great time together! We live in a village nearby Groningen but since June 2017 I live in a student home in the city of Groningen (centrally located), so I can have guests at either place!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started my own non-profit with which I send free personalized to children with life-changing diseaseses, disorders and disabilities. This allowed me make friends all over the world, grow passion for pediatric oncology and even travel to Paris.

My cousin and I impulsively bought plane tickets to Serbia, so that's where we went Couchsurfing. We were so excited for this adventure and had lots of fun! Our hitchhiking and couchsurfing experience in Belgium was just as amazing.

I'm about to babysit in a Faroese family in Spain for 4 weeks and on the Faroe Islands for 4 weeks too. This will probably be one of the most amazing things I will ever do!

In January of 2019 I will ice-skate 50km on the Weissensee (Austria) for charity: pediatric cancer research.

I will gladly talk with you about anything I have any knowledge of! I would also love to share my couchsurfing and hitchhiking experiences, and the weird and funny stories I have heard of others.
