short story: I'm maria and I'm 20 years old. I am a psychology student in Colombia and for the moment I'm taking 6 months off in France to be an au pair and travel.

long story: I took this 6 months off because I wasn't happy studying what I was studying in Colombia. I took the determination to pause my semester and start studying a new language while working. For me this is a journey that is helping me to know better myself, face my fears and at the same time get to know people that im sure can help me grow as a person. I am a true believer that every single experience and every single person you can share with, can teach you more than you can imagine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im new in CS! I did not know about it until I got to France. For the moment I am an au pair in France until july 2017. During my vacation period and some weekends I want to travel and get to know different cities, people and cultures. The purpose is manly to fulfill a dream while doing this, but also as I mentioned is to get to know people that perhaps will make my stay and experience remarkable.

At the same time, when I come back to my country I would love to host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to "the lost city" in Santa Marta, Colombia. It was a 4 day trip walking through the mountains to get to the sacred ruins.

Went to the brazilian amazon and shared a bit with the natives, got the see the pink dolphins, and slept one night in the jungle.
