Describing myself.... hmmm... very difficult I think.
Well, here are some basics:
30 years old, PhD-Student at the University of Oldenburg while working as an energy modelling analyst for an Oxford energy research company.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I have a special philosophy. I just try to live my life the way I want to live it. And... like Willy G. Christmas said in Paul Auster's excellent novel Timboktu: The best a man can ever do is to leave the world a little better than you found it.

I've joined the CS community some time ago and surfed some couches in Germany and China. Just take a look at the references.

Interests

I`m interessted in many different thinks. I read a lot (books, newspapers, magazines, ...). But I also like watching good movies or documentations in the cinema or tv. Another of my interessts is sports. I try to do sports regularly (actually I'm medium successfull in that). I`m in a table tennis sports club where I play and show kids how to play table tennis (--> I`m a licenced table tennis trainer).
I also like to roll around on my skateboard. I´m not a pro, but I like it to roll around and lern some tricks when I have the time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh... favorite books, films and music. That's not that easy as it sounds like, since I read a lot of different books, watch a lot of different movies, and listen to a lot of different music.
For the books maybe its the best to name some writers that are on my reading list at the moment: Paul Auster, Ken Follet, Tad Williams.
The music I listen very often starts with reggea and ska music, gets a little harder with punk and hardcore and ends very hard with the new stuff of metalcore.

I'm a licenced table tennis trainer. So I can show you how to play table tennis. If you want to learn some tricks with the skateboard, I also can show you some.
