About Me

ABOUT ME

I think that I am a friendly, down-to-earth person. I take pride in not being judgmental, even though I have lived in the very conservative/religious Louisiana all of my life. I am open to many things and I'm always looking for new experiences. Currently, I am a senior biochemistry/pre-med student at LSU, and I take my studies very seriously. I believe that I am destined to be a doctor. Besides studying, I just try to enjoy life by making myself and those around me happy.

Interests

About a year ago, I took my first French class at LSU. Luckily, I had a great teacher who taught me not only about France and French culture, but about the many cultures throughout the world. Ever since then, I have been slightly obsessed with traveling the world and learning languages. My main goal right now is to become close to fluent in French so I spend a lot of my free time learning the language. Although I don't have the finances to travel now, I plan on doing a lot of it in the future. I also enjoy reading novels, watching movies, and playing the guitar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work with autistic children, and at any moment they are capable of rendering me speechless. It is quite amazing.
One moment that may seem quite silly was when my French teacher showed us the movie The Spanish Apartment. It is about this French student who moves to Spain and lives in a small apartment with five other people from all around Europe. What amazed me, and made me feel pretty dumb, was that all of the characters spoke multiple languages. It really opened my eyes to the rest of the world.
