Overview
About Me
Born in Warsaw, raised in a village 20 km from the city. A man from a forest :), gets lost in the city without a map, cause all buildings look the same for me. Good-tempered, calm, world-friendly, tamed lone wolf, having bursts of craziness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm just starting to. :) During the trip of my life I've met many friendly, helpful people, like my extra guardian angels during that lonely expedition. I've learned that it was a great opportunity to meet other people and share experiences - now I've decided to take a step further and replace a tent with about 2 square meters of surface, but even closer to people who stand on my way.
Interests
Made dream come true - flew as a pilot, in a sailplane.
Now motorbiker, cyclist and hiker.
By vocation - tries to make other people happy and smiling.
Earning for the above as an IT guy. :)
- traveling
- hiking
- track and field
- mountains
Music, Movies, and Books
It's easiest to specify the most favourite movies: "A Few Good Men", "Forrest Gump", "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Green Mile", "Rules Of Engagement", "12 Angry Men", "Terminal".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Motorbike tour around the western Europe: started a month after getting a driving licence :), in 7 weeks travelled 15000 km through Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. Friendly people, stunning views, great roads up to horizon, mountains, forests, deserts, waterfalls, trekking in race track boots :) - up to now it was the trip of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've learned that probably the worst thing connected with travelling is struggling with my own imaginations, stereotypes and doubts. I've decided to start CouchSurfing just in order to struggle further - with my own and my hosts' picture of the surrounding world and people. I don't mean that your picture is wrong, but it's for sure partial - at least because we don't know each other. :) It's hard to tell, what I can teach you, because the other thing I've learned is that we never know, what we'll learn from another person and in most cases it's not the most obvious thing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
There's no way to anticipate it - if we hit well, a few days will probably be to little. :)
