I'm a Polish student of Russian philology. I'm totally crazy about learning foreign languages and during my travels and Erasmus exchange programmes I've understood that the best way to learn them is to live in another country, hang out with locals and simply immerse yourself in a different culture. In fututre I would like to work as an interpreter or a translator - this would mean working while doing something I love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling as I know it's wonderful chance to meet some fascintaing people and learn a lot about them, their culture and their language. Coachsurfing seems to be a perfect opportunity to do so.

Interests

As I say all the time: foreign languages !!! I love getting to know a new language, learn its phonetics, vocabulary and even grammar. Every single language is fascinating for me and means discovering something new. Moreover, I'm crazy about Russia and it's culture, literature, and - obviously - language which I find the most beautiful in the world. And, of course, I love travelling, as all the couchsurfers should, I believe :)

Many of them, there is no one I could call "my favorite", there's only one book I have to mention - the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent three almost 4 months on an exchange in Irkutsk, Siberia, which was the best time of my life, full of amazing travels: e. g. to the Baikal Lake and the Gobi dessert in Mongolia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Definitely some knowledge on foreign languages - I speak fluently English and Russian and I know Spanish very well, and Polish is my mother tongue. Moreover, I know a little bit of German, French and Ukrainian. I'm fascinated about linguisitcs and I know there are many things unknown to the majority of people from this field of study. I can also share some experience I have from my travels. There is still a big part of the world I haven't visited, but the travels I've already done and the time I spent abroad give me some interesting knowledge on differences among various people, nations and countries.
