About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world and teach English in South America.
ABOUT ME
I am a retired Sociology professor with a great, cynical sense of humor. I am congenial, witty, and smart with lots of useless information in my head. I am now single after 57 years of marriage to a wonderful first grade teacher who died in 2008 after a long illness. I was on my on at age 15 without resources. I am on my on again but with resources. So I travel and take photos. Next year I am going "Around the World at 80."
PHILOSOPHY
Epicurean philosophy means to live life to its fullest, to seek pleasure by pursuing one's own welfare and the welfare of others. I believe humans constitute a single species and everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. I believe religion is divisive and fundamentalist religion is dangerous. My logo (tattoo) is an infinity symbol with arrows in every direction. It's on my ankle and I assume I don't have to explain it.
