Just about everything fascinates me, but especially foreign languages, religion, philosophy and art. I could talk about teaching forever if there were no one to stop me.

Generally, I enjoy exercising, reading, eating salad and chocolate, talking over coffee, going on long walks, warm places and of course traveling.

I climbed Mount Fuji! It was the most simultaneously wonderful/miserable experience of my life. My next great adventure/challenge will be to... who knows! Let me know if you have any recommendations.

In Taiwan, I happened upon a Buddhist temple where hundreds of women were chanting to Quan Yin, the bodhisattva of compassion. Being surrounded by so many fervently devoted women was a really powerful experience.
