About Me
(Updated March 2025)
I've been Couchsurfing for 10 years and I have met so many wonderful people. Now I’m in a new stage of life with a husband and a baby. And now we’re all traveling!
I have a PhD in Political Science and I work as a data scientist. Before I met my husband, I did a lot of solo traveling with the help of amazing people on CouchSurfing. I spent a year living in Prague working at a pub, I did a Trans-Siberian railroad trip through Mongolia and Russia, and I did multiple backpacking trips through Europe, the Balkans, and the Caucasus.
My husband, Kyle, and I are both American, but we actually met studying Russian in Kyrgyzstan. We love to backpack travel during our summer holiday and have recently spent summers in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Lebanon.
Kyle and I both are really friendly and open, and we love meeting new people. Our baby, Samuel, is 7 months old, and he is also smiley and social. We enjoy hanging out at the pub with a couple beers, exploring nature, learning about culture and history, and just about everything else. If you’re into any of that, we’d love to hang!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because people are awesome, of course :)
