Hi, I'm Mackenzie! I am a Senior at University of California - Los Angeles, better known as UCLA, and I am spending my final year of undergrad attempting to see as much of the world as I can. I come from a smallish town in North San Diego, where I live with my parents and my dog. When I am at home I work full time in childcare, as a nanny and babysitter for about 15 families. I love musical theater and television, I will literally watch any shows or movies that are recommended to me, and love consuming media that is produced somewhere outside the US. I also am relatively sporty; I enjoy hiking and swimming as well as any kind of thrill seeking experience (bungy jumping and the like).

I travel solo for the most part, and I am a very considerate guest!

I am doing my study abroad year in Sweden and I have planned many trips around Europe, but because I can not work I have very little money to spend. I am hoping to find cool people to stay with, and to really immerse myself in the culture of wherever I am staying. I am incredibly clean, and I don't really drink very much, so I would say I am a pretty quiet houseguest. I am really just looking for a place to sleep and any recommendations of things to do in my host's hometown.

My favorite music is classic rock from the 1970's and 80's as well as 80's and 90's pop. I don't listen to a ton of recent music, but I'll try anything once.

My favorite movies are Chicago, Forrest Gump, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, Die Hard, The Terminal, and Remember the Titans.

Favorite books include, HARRY POTTER (obviously), ASOIAF series, Wuthering Heights , and Of Mice and Men

I co-piloted an airplane when I was 13 years old, but otherwise I haven't really done anything too amazing since. I'm definitely hoping to change that!
