Promote consciousness, health & chiropractic through music and art.
Hi, I'm Mackenzie! I'm outgoing, energetic, (I think funny), and I have a passion for travel and health! I love to learn, grow, and make connections with people. Life is all about new experiences! I just recently graduated from chiropractic school and am on a postgrad roadtrip adventure with my boyfriend, Matt Conroy, who also just graduated. He has been using Couchsurfing for years and has many excellent references. Your can visit his profile for more info...
Before we get into practice, we want to have some adventure and see this great country! We love meeting new friends and hope to experience our travels through the eyes of locals :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a recent graduate, I am looking for an inexpensive and practical way to travel, and couchsurfing is a great way to do it! As a believer in karma, I am happy to return the gesture and help out some surfers coming to my part of the world.
I have hosted one couchsurfer, and it was a wonderful experience! I was so happy to make a connection with this person, who I would have never met otherwise :)
Health - physical, mental, emotional
art, music, dancing, photography, animals, nature, fitness, travel, podcasts, consciousness, beauty everywhere
Music, Movies, and Books
Acoustic cover music, bluegrass string bands, electroswing, anything with a good beat I can dance to!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last winter I went on a chiropractic mission trip to Haiti and had the opportunity to help hundreds of people. It was the most humbling experience I've ever had and has made me so grateful for everything in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Before you jump on that kale craze! It recently came out that kale (and other cruciferous veggies - broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage)... can be high in Thallium, a toxic metal. Of course, right? I wouldn't say don't eat these things, but try to limit your consumption. It is also helpful to cook these vegetables because they are "goitrogens," which can be tough on your thyroid.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Random health info, healing hands ;-) and singing with a ukulele!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Haiti, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland
