ABOUT ME

Hello!

I am entering my senior year at Wellesley College, in Massachusetts, where I study environmental studies and history. I am obsessed with sustainable agriculture and food justice and spend my summers growing vegetables (and getting covered in dirt in the process). I love traveling both in the US and abroad and love to make new friends along the way! I'm eager to get to know people in the Brooklyn area, where I will be living this summer!

I've couchsurfed with friends in the past, but am eager to have some couchsurfing adventures of my own!

Have couchsurfed in western MA.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: Indie, folk, classic rock, classical. Also, I am a very unskilled drummer in an Afro-Haitian drum and dance group.
Books: Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Kurt Vonnegut, and a variety of other literary delights.
The Princess Bride is my favorite movie of all time.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have lived in the Australian rainforest! And, when I was there a saw a cassowary (a very rare, large, and majestic bird) in the wild!

I am also proud to say that I was 1 foot away from Madeline Albright in a public bathroom recently.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I love cooking vegetarian food and baked goods - and I am always willing to share! But, I would love to learn more about the culinary arts.

There is very little that I don't want to learn about - but I'm particularly interested in learning little ways to make my life sustainable and increase my self-reliance.

I also dream of becoming a more proficient knitter...my first scarf attempt remains unfinished.
