ABOUT ME

I'm 34 years old. A single parent of a 10 yr old girl. I love to travel and have moved all over the US. I started visiting Scotland in 2006 and have been back once this year and have another trip planned for Aug.

Im goofy with a crackin sense of humor. I love to laugh and make those around me laugh. I find it is my mission in life. I always look for the bright side of things. I decided years ago that everyday was a HAPPY DAY! If positive - cheerful people annoy you...im gonna have a BALL with you! hehehe

I am working on writing my first novel. Its taken some time, but all the great ones do!

I love music of all kinds. Give me something that stirs my soul and im a fan for life!

I love the outdoors...camping, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing....im not afraid to get my hands dirty..in fact - i think i rather enjoy it! hee hee

I do drink, but not to get wasted. I prefer a nice red wine when chillin at home. I dont smoke - smoked for 13 years and became allergic after I had my daughter. Cannot stay in the same room with smoke for 15 mins or my sinuses clog right up. No offense...just please dont.

ummmm....Im told Ive never met a stranger a day in my life and I guess that would be true. I am just a sociable person who really enjoys interacting with others and learning what life has to offer!!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to enjoy the experience! I want to have fun and laugh and create a place that is enjoyable for everyone involved in being in that space.

Ive just joined this site - I had been made aware of it a few years ago (i think it was) and promptly forgot about it, until i found myself in need of lodging on a budget! When i get stable again...i fully intend to be a host!!! Youd LOVE the mountains of Asheville NC!

Im a hopeless romantic so anything with a GOOD plot (no harliquin romances please! lol) - love sci fi and supernatural stories.

Music - I have quite an eclectic collection of music...from AC/DC to Enya. 3 Doors down...Evanescence...Patty Griffin...James Morrison...Phil Collins...DHT...Enigma...Crystal Method..the list goes on and on! lol

Movies - i dont do horror flicks. Dont want that crap in my brain. But i love action/adventure, comedy (romantic of otherwise), and of course romance/chic flics. OOOOO and dance movies FAME!!! Im gonna live forever....Im gonne learn how to fly HIIIIIGH! hee hee

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took my daughter for a 3 month visit to Scotland at the beginning of this year. What an amazing experience to give a child. Life in another country...exploring and learning the ways of another culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

Id love to teach others how to embrace the true art of being HAPPY. Its not something you are...its something you DO! Its a choice we make. I used to be a negative Nancy...and life is soooo much better as a Happy Holly! (snort ok that was corny - but you get my drift!) Life moves at a much better pace when you are happy!
