About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel light and backpack to at least 6 cities in Europe by 2016!

ABOUT ME

Loves books, reality shows, Asian dramas, music, basketball, National Geographic and History channels. I may seem to be a nerd, but I'm really not. I'm just a little bit geeky, that's all. ;p Been able to travel by myself once, and I can't wait to try it again!

PHILOSOPHY

In life, you have to always give out your best in everything you do. You'll always have regrets if you don't. Don't be scared to take risks, it's the fun part in our lives since nothing is ever certain except death, change and taxes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie here- just tried it last August 2013 during my trips to Brunei and Malaysia. Of course, I loved it! Nothing can compare with the knowledge and experience you'll gain traveling the country with awesome hosts to guide you. And you meet a lot of new friends! You can even crash a wedding (not really, you're technically invited by your hosts ^_^).

Music, Movies, and Books

Books by John Grisham, Philippa Gregory, JK Rowling, Anne Rice, James Patterson, and classic literature. My favorite book is 'Gone with the Wind'.

Favorite movies are Inception, The Sound of Music and Walk the Line.

For music, I like pop, RnB, rap and light rock. I listen to a lot of KPop, JPop and CPop as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have travelled alone for half a month to South Korea. Travelling alone for a female may be a common thing for the Western countries, but for us female Filipinos, it's a bit of a 1 in 100 occurrence. The feeling of being on our own with no one to answer to is really a liberating experience for me. I met a lot of kindhearted people during that trip, and even with the language barrier, you'll feel that people are always willing to help you out when you're in need.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share my love and knowledge of Asian culture- from our traits, to pop media, to what to expect from each country and its people. I want to share things I learn from constantly reading and watching a lot of things. I can teach you English and Korean, and even Tagalog if you want.

I want to learn anything and everything people would like to share with me.

I have no special talent, but I am always curious about everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, knowledge (statistics and valuation anyone???) and food? Don't expect too much though, I'm just a regular home cook. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
