Firstly, of course, to save money when I travel, because I tend to spend a little too freely. It doesn't hurt that I love meeting new people when I travel -

Music/sound, the sound of music... indigenous/local/historic beer and brewing such drink... genealogy, geography and travel... a passing fancy with about 3,962 other things including: botany, extreme cold regions of the earth and the limits of the human will... films, good eatin'... foreign languages, wordplay, etymology... sport, volcanoes (particularly how lava can form new land)... and so on and so on - something new every other day it seems
