I am 19 years old! A total plant nerd, working in a greenhouse was my first job when I was 15, and although it was only supposed to be seasonal, I stuck with it through high school and absorbed all of the information that I could.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As rad as it is, my job doesn't make me a millionaire. I often catch myself daydreaming about what I'm missing while fertilizing hanging baskets, or releasing beneficial insects. While I love my small town, close friends, and amazing job, there's an emptiness and linger for adventure, sightseeing, and travel that I must fulfill. My father did the same thing out of high school and learned more from travel than any school could ever teach him, and he smiles when I tell him my ambitions to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books

While my daily pandora station changes from reggae, to a g-eazy station, I will always meander my way back to folk indie. I find a strange beauty in unique voice singing mostly of lyrics that don't make a lot of sense, and guitar that makes you wish you were at a campfire down by a river somewhere. I like the stranger movies, Big Fish, Almost Famous, and Open Season, yes, Open Season, the children's movie with the pet bear and one-horned buck.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would it be to cliche to say that I'm looking for myself? I have a pretty solid grip on my soul, other than that, pft, I'm at a loss. I don't know what I want to do for the next 40 years, or where I want to eventually reside. I want to learn more about the environment, and this lovely planet we call home in general. I've always have a sweet tooth for travel, and I'm getting cavities that need to be taken care of. I would love to bond with people and make friends from across the country, and potentially world, that I can remain in contact with fro the rest of my life. I want to drown in others wisdom and experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm nothing special, but I am always respectful, and hold me own. Even when offered I am uncomfortable taking from others that I didn't learn. That's why the first time I heard of this website, I literally laughed aloud. But now here I am in Jumpin' Java watching the storm roll in, and trying to combat the perfect string of words that won't make me sound desperate, or like a serial killer.

Again, like I said, I don't have a lot to offer, I'm no rich girl. I give amazing company, I can take some pretty neat pictures, of whatever. and who knows, maybe I have more to offer than comes to mind at this second.
