Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to host friendly surfers and to visit others on my own travels. I try to help out when I can and answer questions in the groups I am active in. Recently I had a great time with a bunch of CS'ers in Cph nightlife.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted Wietske from Holland, Rachel from the States, Chin from Malaysia and several more good people.
I have been surfing myself in amazing Venezuela and had a great time thanks to all the friendly CS 'venezuelanos'.

Interests

Literature, traveling, movies, arts, yoga, politics, cooking, drawing and painting, sleeping (I love to sleep), good times with my friends, nature, snorkling, trekking (I used to do it a lot, but now not so much since I have a bad knee) and biking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Borges, Eco, Ekman, Kehlmann, Tolkien, G. Gavriel Kay, Neil Gaiman, epic literature by great English writers like Shakespeare and funny poems and wordplay.

Music: Michael Simpson, Trentemøller, Tori Amos, The The, Love Shop, K's Choice, Jeff Buckley and Kate Bush spring to mind. Lyrics are important.

Movies: American independent like 'Juno' or 'Away we go'. Still haunted by 'Lad den rette komme ind' (Let the Right One In) swedish vampire-movie, which blew my mind. Oscar, a bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be ... yes - a vampire. Looking forward to Spike Jonzes 'Where the Wild Things are' tonight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once found my way down from the High Monastery in Petra, Jordan in the pitch dark. A couple of bedouins had shown us the secret path up to the place, but we had to go down on our own.
Those who have been there, know that those stairs are pretty narrow and winding and sometimes just disappear... .

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to draw or how to make a decent Italian lasagne from scratch.
I would like to learn to find a way to travel more.
