ABOUT ME

Kate: I'm a paramedic in rural New South Wales, Australia. Spent a year living and working in the UK and managed to couch surf all over Europe. Had a fantastic experience and great hosts. Since then have travelled through Africa and Asia and am not hitting up central and South America for a few weeks.

Madd: I'm an Ex-Gappie, currently studying speech pathology in Brisbane. Last year I lived in the UK working in a primary school as a GAP student. Last year I traveled to so many amazing countries and had an amazing time in each one. I hope to continue traveling around the world during my degree.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have surfed our way around Europe and hope that soon we will surf around some other countries and host at our homes in Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have surfed all over Europe, from Berlin to Basel, Lyon to Rome, Vienna to Copenhagen.. We've had some fantastic experiences with so many different people across the continent!! Hopefully we will surf or host again soon!

Interests

Madd: meeting new people, learning about other cultures, history, sailing, listening and playing music, reading, the beach and OF COURSE travelling.

Kate: interested in pretty much anything! sport (hockey, soccer, aussie football etc.), music (though I cant play to save myself), anything outdoorsey and adventurous.. and of course travelling! Love all water sports - diving, snorkelling, kayaking etc. Went to Scotland earlier in the year and it is without a doubt the coolest place in the world! But Im willing to try to be convinced that your city/country is cooler :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kate: Skydiving in New Zealand! The most petrifying, yet totally exhilarating thing that i have ever done in my life. And again in Namibia - looking down on both the ocean and desert. But topping everything would be paragliding over the Himilayas!
