Hi there! My name is Maddie and I’m currently travelling with my cousin Sophie. I’ve been travelling around SE Asia since January and have just met up with Soph to do the rest of Asia. We will be travelling until September/October.

At home, I work at a school as a teachers aide and as a support worker in the community. I’m a big animal lover and have two dogs, Rosie and Daisy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a girl at a hostel years ago who told me about Couchsurfing. She said it’s a great way to meet people who can give you an idea about how to really get to know the city you’re visiting. I tried it a couple of times and both times it was amazing. I don’t have the kind of living situation where I can host but that might change in the future. Very excited to try it again 😊

Interests

I’m interested in books, currently reading 3 different series at once I think? I’m also a big movie and television buff, I love anything comedic! I’m a big foodie and love to cook so would love some recommendations on where to eat!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love movies and television shows, if you tell me what the plot of something is I could probably tell you what the movie is called. I also love reading, very fond of series especially. I’n reading a fair bit of fantasy at the moment but I also LOVE a whodunnit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far this has been an amazing trip. I’ve swam with giant manta rays, been bungy jumping, seen the Komodo dragons and been scuba diving. Very excited to add to this list!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can definitely share some funny and traumatising travel stories. I enjoy cooking and would be happy to cook a meal for our hosts! I enjoy socialising, playing cards and a quiet drink.
