Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got a great location 5 blocks from the historic Windansea surf break in San Diego. When I'm around, I'd love to meet surfers and travelers who want to experience the laid-back La Jolla lifestyle!

However, I'll be in Tasmania for the next 3 months. For 2 of those I'll be on a research vessel investigating the dynamics of internal waves reflecting off of the continental shelf. In between cruises, I'm looking for places in Hobart to stay and get to know locals (of the non-oceanographer type--variety is the spice of life!)

I make pie! Seriously though, I love cooking for others (especially big groups!), playing music with friends, and sharing my energy with all kinds of new people!
