About Me

Hello! I am a chef from the Canadian prairies. I hold a BFA- and am constantly working with my hands! I am very creative and love to eat. I have four sisters, a niece and a nephew. When all of us are actually all in the same city we go camping or sing karaoke! I travel often, whether it's in the Himalayas, across Iceland, El Salvador, Australia- it's usually in a tent or a van. I like to get the most out of each journey, and love nature!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently travelling through Europe to cook and stage at restaurants I have been inspired by- even back in Canada. This is my first time on the Couch Surfing and I am excited to experience travel in this new way! I often travel alone, and I'm curious how this will change travel for me! I really love the idea and know several people who have used this app and recommended it highly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in all three! I worked in a movie/music store as a teenager and am very good at pop culture trivia because of it! Some of my favourite movies are Amelie, Darjeeling Lmtd, Midnight in Paris, Dark Crystal, and so many more. Right now I'm reading We that are Young by Preti Taneja and I really love it so far! Some of my favourite book are Interview with a Vampire, Game of Thrones, Even Cowgirls get the Blues, Blood Bones and Butter, The Everlasting Meal, and more. Music is probably the most eclectic. Jazz, rap, heavy metal, country, classic, folk, punk, reggae, etc.
