About Me
Hello hello :)
My name is Maddie, and I was born in Germany close to beautiful Heidelberg. After graduating from school my world felt a little bit too small, so I moved to Scotland to start University there and ever since all I can think of is all the other places in the world I can’t wait to see. I try my hardest to combine my Uni life with these plans and my exchange semester in Canada was the perfect opportunity. It’s fascinating to get to know a country so similar yet so different to your own and to meet so many great people along the way! So, I’m very excited and looking forward to meeting you soon! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s great to visit new cities, do sightseeing and crossing off points of the travel guide’s list to do. However, I think you only really get to know the city with people who live there and who can show you there favorite little places and secret spots. So show me your city, hopefully I can show you mine at some point too! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, movies and books... add coffee and that’s all I need to be happy - music being on top of the list though. I love to dance to some electronic music, get ready to pop charts and every now and then I sing in a classical choir. So really, I’m into all types of music as long as it’s good music, and always so happy to discover new songs, artists and genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite artists (Mura Masa) announced a concert halfway through the country in Manchester, so it was obvious to me to pack my things and spend the weekend there. Not the most adventurous, I’m sure, but definitely one of the most amazing weekends in my life. Learned to love the city and the euphoria of the concert lasted for a solid month afterwards.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let’s cook a risotto together, it’s been my favorite dish to cook for forever now. Probably mostly because of the two bottles of wine it includes: one to drink and the other one to cook (and with that I mean half of that one is for drinking too)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Excitement for traveling, excitement for meeting new people, good playlists, wine (or water, either is fine really), cheese and a good time.
