I dropped everything one day last summer when I was 21 and packed up my car and moved across the country not knowing anyone as well as not having a job lined up nor a place to stay, and that is what prompted me to want to continue doing things outside of my norm. Unfortunately I had to go back to my home in Virginia to finish my last semester of college, and now that I am graduated I am excited to say that I am going on round two of driving across the country and have no desire to work a 9-5, but have the desire to travel full time. My favorite part of traveling in the last year has been connecting with strangers as if we’ve known each other our whole lives, just for the simple fact that we all come from different backgrounds but are still like-minded individuals. When I think of my future, I don’t aspire to own a mansion or have a fancy car or expensive clothes, I think of the random experiences and people I will encounter backpacking or just going on a spontaneous road trip and blaring classic rock/indie rock music. Those type of things set my soul on fire and I’m confident that I can make a career out of doing just that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am moving across the country again and want to experience a more unique cross country experience than I did last year.
