About Me

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people and most of all I like to meet in the realm of brave ideas to explore intellectually. A great conversation and a glass of wine or a long walk and a good talk, getting jointly inspired by a new idea that feels urgent to pursue at that moment or that seems to reveal some profound truth that was hidden up until that moment, to share interesting facts, observations, knowledge, these are the kind of things i very much enjoy.I am currently writing a book about the nature of Philosophy with a lot of humour and seriousness and poetry, and try to figure what to do next.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look forward to be able to host sometime very soon at the moment the place where i live is a bit of building site and I am on the road for a while. I would love to meet up with other surfers or show them around Stockholm or meet up for a drink if I am free.

I have not yet had the chance to explore CS but have always preferred to stay with people whether old friends I visit or new friends I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just stumbled across the rather curious book A Night of Serious Drinking by French surrealist Daumal. I loved Master and Margarita. I enjoyed the Crock of Gold by Irish writer Stephen. I love Borges but tend to fall asleep if read out to me like nothing else. I would like to read some Ray Chandler. As for films I used to love anything that Greenaway made, lately I have watched a lot of hindi films, and loved Choker Bali based on a Tagore novel by the same name. I love the Children of the lost city. I like old bondfilms and thought Skyfall was the one of the better ones in a very long time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am rather good at Indian vegetarian cooking and make a fabulous coconut chutney, I can teach some basic indian classical dancing and demonstrate the differences in style between odissi, bharat natyam and kathak, I can teach English, Swedish, and Philosophy, but most of all I would like to encourage some kind of explorative free style poetic philosophical writing or discuss favourite qoutes and passages and talk about what they mean and help compare the philosophical content of various gurus, self-help master and other philosophies out there. I would love to learn Isadora Duncan style dance, how to make salad dressings or sauces, how to haggle, speak french and the rules of golf croquet and about any esoteric or mystical tradition and its practices. Any quirky old facts about ancient kings or kingdoms would amuse me.
