About Me

Hi, my name is Madeleine (pronounced maa-deh-lynn, not line) but feel free to call me Maddie.

Since I don't really know how to have small talk, let me start by saying this: My life mission is to become one of the first females in history to travel all 193 United Nations countries!

I have dedicated every decision I make to fulfilling this goal while battling societal norms, overcoming overwhelming student loan debt, and creating my unconventional lifestyle.

I believe my purpose in life is to bridge people to their own greater purpose, especially related to their travel dreams and goals. I love creating safe and open spaces for people to express their mind, heart, and soul without fear of judgement and be accepted with excitement, awe, and unconditional love. That's why I can't do small talk! I love to learn about people's dreams, goals, and life stories.

I envision a world where travel is redefined to be more inclusive and accessible to diverse, dynamic groups of people such as people of color, students in debt, young females, those who identify with multiple ethnicities, races, and cultures, and those who realize they've learned more outside of a classroom than within its walls!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After traveling to 30+ countries while staying in hostels, hotels, and couches formally through CS and off CS, I believe in the pure unconditional goodness and uniqueness of the Couchsurfing community! You can't find this anywhere else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spoken at the United Nations a few times and can say I was on the same speaker list as President Obama. Thankfully, I've been blessed with stories to tell and lives to touch.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love creating simple, comfortable moments and spaces for intentional conversation. This could be while sharing breakfast, cooking a meal together, enjoying a cup of tea or coffee at a cafe, hours of walking throughout a new city, or over a few glasses of wine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can talk goals, dreams, struggles, process, and progress. I love figuring out ways to combine our goals and superpowers to help each other grow exponentially. I am also here to hold you accountable with the life you are creating and goals you are achieving.

You don't need to remember me for who I am and what I do, I just hope to create a memorable, positive lifelong impact on you. :)
