Hi, my name is Madeline. I just finished my studies in social psychology in Belgium. I am currently travelling from Belgium to the Middle East mostly by hitchhiking 🫶🏼

I looooove travelling and I believe the best way to travel is to live with the locals so that we can discover the real culture.

To me, the word « meet » could resolve so many of our fears, and a lot that goes wrong in this world. To meet is to open our mind to new possibilities of thinking, of doing and of loving. Meeting allows us to be changed a little every time and evolve. When you meet another person, another culture, it is so enriching and you discover that this world is so rich and that what everyone wants in the end is to love and be loved. So let’s meet and learn about each other, about the world and everything that it is about🫶🏼 This is one of my big philosophies of life and this is why travelling in this slow way is so important to me, to be able to really meet the people and learn directly from them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because, as I said, I really like to travel and meet the locals. It's a good way to build a network all over the world and meet some incredible people.

I’ve lived in 2 different countries for a couple months and had the opportunity to learn about new cultures. One of my core values is to stay open-minded and being able to discuss about any topic to understand deeply what the people I meet are living.
