my name is Madeline (25 yo), I am an artist who has just graduated from university in Canada studying law and fine art. I have been solo travelling for more than five months, beginning with hiking the Camiño de Santiago de Compostela alone for 7 weeks, camping half the way. I truly challenged myself by staying anlone instead of joining a group and through this I was able to connect further to Mother Nature and accept the parts of myself I was running away from.
After that I hitchhiked and wild camped around Croatia, Italy, France and Germany, trying not to spend the little money I had while still having fun and meeting beautiful people. A lot more happened but maybe that’s something we could talk about in person :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been spending way too much time alone and I would LOVE to meet you :-) I’m super easy going and good at chatting, let’s be friends ☺️
Also At this point of my trip I’m really in the hole financially and have literally no money left but have to make it until I fly back to Canada on Dec 13. I’ve been trying to camp along the Camino Portuguese but the sun goes down too early to sleep and it’s getting cold.

I love listening to podcasts about comedy, sex and art. I try to keep up to date on current events and causes. Making connections with others is most important to me in life and I really try to push myself out of my comfort zone to do so.
