I’m an English teacher from the U.S., where I taught English to refugees for 4 years before moving to Puerto Natales in 2018. I came to Puerto Varas with my partner (Chilean) this winter, so I’m looking forward to enjoying my first “real” summer in Chile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While hosting exchange students in the US and traveling/living in South America, I’ve learned that the best way to get to know a new place is through building relationships with people who live there.

I’ve taught English for 4 years and I’m a very patient listener. If you want the chance to test out your English abilities, I’m “all ears.”

I studied comparative cultures & politics in uni and I love long talks to learn about the perspectives of others (on literally everything). If you’ve ever had a question on why the U.S. is so weird, I can *try* to explain my personal understanding.
