About Me

I am a recent university graduate from California, and my top favorite thing to do is explore. I've lived in Los Angeles and the Bay Area for my whole life but have done quite a bit of traveling, through volunteer or study programs and also with family. I am interested in working in Sustainable business but for now just getting any experience I can. I like painting, yoga being outside and scuba diving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled a bit now, and realized that I have the most meaningful and memorable experiences when I get to know the people who make up the community and culture of a new place. I've loved getting to know the families I've stayed with in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador, and am excited to meet other people all over the world. Meeting new people has always made my travels so much more interesting, insightful and lively, and I enjoy getting to know the true spirit of place, not just the top tourist spots.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all types of music, but especially love alternative/indie with my current favorites being Glass Animals, Alt-J, The Arcs. My favorite books are The Beach, Harry Potter (yep) and anything by Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the chance to camp in the Amazon alongside the Waorani tribe. Also got bit by a venomous ant while there and got to experience indigenous medicinal techniques, was very cool (and effective)

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Spanish and can teach it to anyone is who is learning or wants to learn. Also love to cook, play around on the guitar, and paint - and just sitting around telling funny stories.
