About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create, perform, play, learn, explore, make art, be wild, eat good food

ABOUT ME

Hey!

I'm a professional performer by trade currently specializing in film and voice, but I just sort of do anything that inspires me. I'm trained in theatre, but consider myself a jack of all trades. I'm skilled in math and logistics, but a creator at heart. I'm in love with space and the stars, having spent my childhood with a huge telescope seeking out galaxies, planets and star clusters.

I am also a geek...love my comics, anime, sci-fi, but I adore classics, literature, art, nutrition, seriously...I've tried just about everything once. I like to think I'm pretty rounded out with experiences, whether by choice or by force :3

When I am not performing, I do personal training, nutrition, alternative medicine and lifestyle coaching for a more vibrant lifestyle. I'm very passionate about holistic healing, and I just want to share what I know. I am macrobiotic vegan for my health, but I love food. Seriously, if my stomach was a black hole, I'd eat all day

And yes, I do like beer and wine.

Feel free to check out my blog at:

My websites include my actor's site and my business site. They're very rough since I have to code it myself and I have little time, but feel free to check it out!

In Kitchener, my hometown (when not working) I'm the Artistic Producer of an arts festival, Altekrea, dedicated to the creativity and professional development of comic, sci-fi, fantasy, animation and other unique genres:

PHILOSOPHY

My life is my responsibility. I will respect my body and challenge it to new discoveries.

Do absolutely everything that I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I cannot open my home up right now because it's my family's home, and I share my Toronto location with my sister...I will happily take anyone out for a tour, coffee, meet the locals, check out the underground scene...all that jazz.

I have found a new appreciation for the local space, and so have discovered and rediscovered all our famous and off the beaten track sites. I can show you everything from the arts, tourist attractions, hiking, biking, camping, farms...literally, I can help you do it all, or die trying. ;)

Hopefully I will be able to repay all my hosts someday when I have a place of my own to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of hostelling experience...and sleeping outside train stations.

Had my first couchsurfing experience in April 2011 across Iceland. What a fabulous experience and what great new friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Broke our rental car down in Iceland trying to get to a site-specific museum in a tiny settlement that turned out to be abandoned! When we were finally rescued, we found out that a rock slide had occurred (we heard it), and would have been on our path if our car hadn't broken down, and we could have been pummeled!

Teach, Learn, Share

Sleep 8 hours a night...you deserve it.

The arts industry has been shadowed for years by media hype, stardom, glamour and judgment. Art should be a human thing...it should provoke, anger, offend, sympathize, comfort and connect us. Let's try to stop feeding the gossip.

The moon is moving away from the Earth at about 6 inches a year.

How to determine if an egg is bad:
Fill a clear glass full of water. Put egg in. If it lies horizontal at the bottom, it's good. If it's standing up but still touching the bottom, it's going bad but it still edible. If it's floats, toss it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Haiti, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
