Hi! We are Askhat and Madina (we are on second photo). We are married couple. This is our first time using this app.

I work in education and often travel for conferences and university visits. I have several students from my country who study in varies colleges across U.S. (Stanford, UPenn, Purdue, Drexel, U of Oregon and etc.).

Last year, I was in Washington DC, Tennessee and NYC for work. I love meeting new people, sharing cultures, and having meaningful conversations over tea or coffee. I have been to China, Turkey, Switzerland, Sweden, Latvia, UAE, Uzbekistan and USA.

This time, I plan to visit U.S. with my husband. His name is Askhat. He is 29 yrs old. He has been to Kyrgyzstan, and travelled across our country.

We are calm, respectful, and tidy - we appreciate quiet spaces and good energy. We enjoy exploring cities like a local, walking around neighborhoods, and discovering cozy bookstores or coffee spots.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love connecting with people from different cultures and exploring new places through the eyes of locals. I often travel for work, especially related to education and college counseling, and I try to make the most of each trip by meeting new people and sharing stories.

Interests

We like to listening to music.
Madina: I am huge fan of scuba diving, but unfortunately, we don’t have a sea or a ocean with rich underwater world, so I can’t really do it in my country. I tried it several times in Egypt!
I want to try scuba diving or snorkelling in California!
I started crocheting, I crocheted a scarf for my husband.

Askhat: likes playing bowling and volleyball. He watches soccer and UFC sometimes. And he started learning how to swim.
He is digital marketing specialist. He is responsible for advertisement in the company.

We are cat people. We have a 2-years-old cat, she used to be a stray cat. We love everything about cats and usually feed stray cats outside. We like dogs as well!
