ABOUT ME

I'm friendly and easygoing. I love the outdoors, especially hiking in the wilderness and cycle touring. I'm always interested in meeting new people and visiting new places, I like to come away from a trip with some understanding of the day to day life and history of the place I've just visited.

I'm an oceanography student and dream of one day visiting Antarctica on a research cruise.

At home, in between study and outdoor pursuits, I love nothing more than good company, good beer and good books, in any order or combination.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed a few times during my stay in Canada (I'm just finishing up a 6 month exchange in Nova Scotia), through the account of a friend I was travelling with. I had nothing but positive experiences, and am keen to do some more! I found the experience of having local advice and somewhere to stay to be invaluable, so when I return home I'd also love to be a host :)

I have couch surfed Montreal and on Cape Breton Island, and had an amazing time!

Most are best recounted in person! Cycled around eastern Turkey with my best friend Claire, a trip with heaps awesome and hair-raising experiences.
