MADISON: I am an outgoing, open-minded lady with a curiosity for the world around me. There are very few things in this world I am not willing to try at least once, life is too short for me to be picky. I love to laugh and have a soft spot for people with a healthy sense of humor. I truly enjoy the act of giving and love to help people when they need it Being able to share my home, my time, and my knowledge with others is so fulfilling!

I studied music and theater (and a combination of the two) for 6 years but have been involved in it for most of my life. I love to sing, am a decent pianist and a mediocre guitarist. I am currently a bartender, which is actually a great job for meeting new people.

JAKE: I am happiest when I am constantly learning. I enjoy knowing how things work and how it effects it's surrounding environment. This is why traveling fascinates me, I get to learn about other cultures and their history.

I studied multiple disciplines, but the majority of my scholastic time was spent on computer science. I am currently a chief officer in a technology company of which I helped co-found. I also work for the local state government on the side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We think that this is an amazing way to help people travel and it provides a great chance to experience places in a unique and much more personal way. My husband and I are excited to not only host, but very excited to couch surf ourselves! We are very open minded and kind people and are eager to be a part of this awesome opportunity.

MADISON: Music: I like all music for one reason or another, but tend to steer toward classic rock, CCR, jazz, Rufus Wainwright, Cake, and anything from the 90's. Movies: I like cult classics, comedies, indie movies, visually striking movies, strangely creative films and movies that make me think. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, anything by Mel Brooks, The Goonies, Hook, Birdman, The Beach, the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson . Television: Parks and Rec, Friends, The Office, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Iron Chef, Chopped, Sherlock, Battlestar Galactica, Roseanne. Books: I enjoy fantasy novels, The Sandman graphic novels, adventure, Roald Dahl, and anything that takes you to a new world.

JAKE: Music: Will Smith Movies: I like movies where I don't have to think. A plotline always gets in the way of the explosions. Books: The Old Man and the Sea, and anything by Neil Gaiman.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would be more than willing to cook up a meal for anyone that host us, as well as our stories and our knowledge in return for their hospitality. We wont ever leave your home without paying you back in some way. Also, a warm home if they ever want to visit Olympia, Washington.
