About Me

Hi! I'm a third-year chemistry student/science nerd who loves traveling, reading, and meeting new people. I also enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, and singing. I value community, respect, open-mindedness, and trust, and want to extend these to all of my hosts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite way to travel is by meeting locals and learning about the area from them. I also love meeting new people and learning about different perspectives and ways of life - I think couch surfing is the one of the best ways to do this while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to lots of diverse music, but I love rock/folk artists the most. Some of my favorite recent reads are Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. My all-time favorite reads are The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender and The Secret History by Donna Tartt. My 'want to read' list is long, but I'm always looking for suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many amazing things! (I'm super lucky). Some of them are:
-getting to motorbike around Old Bagan in Myanmar
-white water rafting in Costa Rica (I fell out and a man in a kayak had to rescue me)
-eating the best Cantonese food ever in Hong Kong after my friend ordered in Cantonese for me

Teach, Learn, Share

The most important thing to me is sharing information and ideas of all kinds. Recipes, family traditions, and life experiences are some of my favorites to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect, good company and conversation, and an eagerness to learn about my hosts, their home, and their culture.

Countries I’ve Visited
