ABOUT ME

Let's see...The travel bug hit me when I was 20 and I visited my sister in Rio de Janeiro. After that, it was over. I've taken a trip outside the country every year since, (except 2004 when I was working and saving up money, and 2011 when I was broke and unemployed). I finished my teaching credential at CSU Long Beach in 2010 and got hired as a 7th grade teacher in Central California. I have done some teaching abroad in Thailand where I taught for 5 months. I loved every minute of it, and actually think I will be doing more teaching abroad in the future. I was able to save up some money and do a quick tour of SE Asia after I finished. I then found a job in Australia and couchsurfed meeting some of the most amazing people in the world. I am now back for a while and am excited to share the hospitality and kindness that I've experienced while surfing.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live life so that one day I will find my "personal legend". I believe in Peace and Acceptance being the only way into the future.

Love is my Religion, Karma is my God, Peace is my Prophet...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am excited to be able to meet more amazing people and be able to exchange stories with them. I am also excited to be able to host people now that I am back home. Since I am married with kids now, it has become a little more difficult to host, but if it works out, we'll welcome you into our home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in SE Asia and all throughout Australia, as well as up in Canada for a short trip. I have also hosted here at my parents' home, and now my home as well.

兴趣

Anything pretty much interests me. I love all sports, especially football(soccer) and watching the best team play (FC Barcelona!). I also love traveling obviously, meeting amazing people along the way, and enjoy reading more and more each day. (You get to do a lot of it while you travel) Eating great food is always something that peaks my interest.

Love all kinds of books, but especially ones that make you think deeply about where you are in life and the decisions you have made, are making or will make. Love every type of music, and I mean EVERY one: Hip Hop/Rock/Salsa/Son/Merengue/Blues/Cumbia/Jazz/Vallenatos/Acoustic/R&B/Reggae...everything. Recent books read: The Alchemist, Life of Pi, Siddhartha, The Pilgrimage, Shantaram, Paulo Coelho: Confessions of a Pilgrim, Hunger Games & Dragon Tattoo trilogies.
Movies: Love all kinds, from comedies to drama to action.

Ciudad Perdida de Tayrona, the energy flowing through the jungle and the rocks was intense.
Also, Iguassu Falls was one of the most amazing sites I have ever seen. I don't think there is anything truly like it.
Taking my parents to Australia and New Zealand so that they could experience a trip of a lifetime.
