PHILOSOPHY

a rebel, a non conformist, i value free thought, equality, diversity, play and failure. love to learn. love to teach. to express. my life has many rich turns. although i do also waste time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

totally willing to do the coffee and show people around london.
my one bedroom flat has limited options.
but the occasional sofa would be available.
i tend to do things at the drop of a hat, so couches are ideal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

just done my first trip via couchsurf but previously i travelled for 2 years right around the globe, in my early 20's. before this website existed. i hitch-hiked in western countries, u.s.a. australia, new zealand, europe. and took cheap local transport in 3rd world countries. for £1 a night most of S.E. asia is accessible, but hitch-hiking also gave me many couch experiences. once in arizona, i was picked up, by someone who invited me back for xmas. there family bonded tighter by inviting a stranger into their midst. they were a family of 6 beautiful daughters and one miscreant son. xmas day we spent in prison, visiting the son. the following day, i spent in the jacuzi with the daughters!!! you cant buy a holiday like that!

so my recent couch surf involved cycling the veluwe area of holland with my 12 yr old son. we managed to get every night of our trip on couches. a great way to travel. meeting the real people and cycling between the couches, seeing the country and sharing in its popular pasttime. fun.
