My name is Mads Schotemeijer, I am 22 years old and currently travelling around. I am half dane and half dutch. My father is from The Netherlands and my mother is from Denmark. They met while travelling by train in the former Yugoslavia and after sending several letters back and forth they decided to settle down in Denmark. Here they have lived the past 24 years together with me and my two elder siblings. I always like to think that my travelling spirit inside me leads back to my parents love story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to get to know varius of new personalities and their way of living. For me meeting the people of the country I am visiting is a big factor for the whole experience of the travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a roadtrip from US, New York to Canada, Ontario to watch the stunning Niagra Falls and a lot of other adventures along the way as competing in a burger eating competition.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The biggest attraction near my home is Legoland in Billund. Apart from that it is not far from other bigger cities that has a charming atmosphere.
