Overview
About Me
I'm an MA student at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. I study Women and Development. I identify as a feminist, and I wish I could do more in fighting for women's rights and gender equality. I'm also a Television Consultant, and I try to use my principles and beliefs to guide me in judging and filtering better television content.
I love visiting museums and historical places. I love learning about culture and history. I love meeting people, and knowing their views on issues and about life in general.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that traveling should not just be about seeing amazing sights, or having gastronomic adventures, but connecting with real people as well.
I wanna meet them--- both wonderful places and people.
Interests
I love both history and pop culture.
I love watching films, local or foreign.
I'm a sucker for period films, yet I also enjoy Marvel superhero-themed movies.
I shoot and edit videos, myself.
I love indie, country rock.
As mentioned above, I am a feminist so I actively engage in projects furthering women's rights, as well as LGBT rights.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I love Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Ingrid Michaelson, and when I'm writing papers for school or doing serious work, I love to listen to One Direction. haha
Movies- I love all sorts of films, excluding horror. I still can't identify my most favorite movie of all time. haha. If you're playing the Quiz Up application, you'll know that I'm the top 1 player (in the whole Philippines) in the Romantic Movies Category. What does that say about me? haha
Books- I only read books if I love the authors, so I only read books by Toni Morrison, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, and Chuck Palahniuk. No particular genre--- I just look at the writing style and plot development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a project for a government agency and I was tasked to shoot and create mini-documentaries for Indigenous groups and cultural tribes/ communities all over the Philippines.
I guess that has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had so far. Learning the culture from the people themselves, sharing ideas with them, living with them... made the experience very enriching.
And oh yeah, I kissed a live Cobra once, and I quickly ran away cause it got angry. haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can literally share my movie collection, I have them stored in my hard drive. haha
But seriously, I can share my experiences with different cultural groups, my own travel experiences (in and out of the country), and my view of the world.
I'm much more excited about what I would learn from others. :)
