PHILOSOPHY

I'm an atheist and I like Dawkins. He's a reasonable guy.Among philosophical approaches to life, confucianism goes first: "Don't do unto others as you wouldn't have others do unto you."I'm 'anti' quite a few things. Anti-consumerism ('No Logo'),. Anti-libertarianism. Anti-corporations. Anti-assholes.Other than that, the good ol' 'liberty, equality, fraternity.'

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, going to meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience of couchsurfing was in Russia in 2010 (through Hospitality Club, I wasn't registered though, I did it through a friend) - I met a lot of wonderful people there and stunned by their generosity and hospitality I decided to join Couchsurfing after that.
So far I've hosted 5 people through Couchsurfing. At CS meetings I met very very special people who are a big part of my life right now.

Lazing about, pretending to be busy, procrastinating, sleeping in, dozing off, dreaming, wasting my time, chilling...Apart from that reading, learning languages, travelling (really? you like travelling? how unusual :)), meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, hatha yoga, cooking (esp. Asian food), music, cinema and film theory, art, gender theory, feminism, left-wing politics, etc etc...What I don't like: clubs and assholes.

Too many to list. I love reading so much that I even read cleaning products labels while on the loo (if there's nothing else to read, that is). Trying to avoid mainstream and chewing gum for the brain. Hollywood gives me hiccups. I use Bridget Jones diaries to wipe my... you know what. I haven't got a TV and I don't read gossip mags. I only found out that Michael Jackson died thanks to Facebook. How bad is that? And is Big Brother something to eat?

Teaching is my job so I'd love to get some rest from it in my free time, but I love learning.
