ABOUT ME

I am Colombian-Canadian, a clash and combination of two cultures and languages. It has been a pretty sweet experience that has led me on a path to question and inquire about life and the world. I've just graduated from an alternative Liberal Arts & Sciences university and I'm ready to see the world and philosophize with people about life, love and the universe. Or perhaps share a meal and maybe have a dance party.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was staying at my friends house on Vancouver Island and a couch surfer came to stay with us. It was a really cool experience that encouraged me to sign up on couch surfing. The girl was super cool, great questions, conversations, sharing and learning! While my friend was working and doing her thing I got to feel like I was travelling while I hung out and explored the area with Anna, the couch surfer.

Interests

Challenging myself so that I can grow and become a better person, to serve those close to me, humanity and nature to the best of my ability. Activities I like to do include yoga, climbing, dancing, playing outside and well.. taking naps.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent time in the Great Bear Rainforest learning and sharing with the Gitga'at First Nations people. I did a second trip to intern at a whale research station where I spent time hanging out with humpback whales. And a third trip, to organize and lead a youth canoe journey and protest of the Northern Gateway Pipeline proposal (www.gbryouthpaddle.org)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could share Spanish conversation, my knowledge and experience in an alternative Liberal Arts and Sciences University, my experience in building community, engaging youth and protesting big oil development in the Great Bear Rainforest. What I have found through my search for knowledge and inner peace, yummy food cookin'.. I recently learned how to paint interior walls.. hehe
