I enjoy Sahara music like Tinariwen, classic vibes like Umm Kulthom, Sabah Fakhri and Bob Marley, and Sudanese rap, but I’m always open to new beats. Books are a big part of my life too; The Forty Rules of Love, The Longing of the Dervish and Season of Migration to the North are some of my favorites. And don’t get me started on Friends the TV show.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, during Ramadan, I found myself exploring a
abandoned side of an island. My car got stuck in the dunes, and while fasting, I spent six exhausting hours getting it free and safely returning to civilization. It was a true test of patience, resourcefulness, and survival skills, and it left me with an unforgettable story to tell!
