ABOUT ME

I just moved back to the mainland from Kauai and I'm currently on (yet another) journey across the country to find where I'm needed next. I am a student that teaches people how to be a student, ha! I believe that we can be our own doctors, healers, therapists, magicians, and Jedi's if we simply take the time to tune in and listen. I learn to teach and I teach to learn. I am eternally grateful for the hurdles that make me jump higher, the ruts that help me think deeper, and the light that helps me grow brighter :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate art that takes me on a journey. I am inspired by strong heroic characters that overcome great obstacles, defeat wicked villains, and undergo drastic character transformations. I could list the movies and books that I'm interested in, but I find it more relevant to state what it is about these art forms that appeal to me.

I listen to music that creates an emotional response within me. Whether that's the love-lost piercing vocals of Billie Holiday, the twangy tunes of Hank Williams, the fresh reggae beats of Soja, the mystical journeys of Explosions in the Sky, or the middle eastern gypsy jazz grooves of Beats Antique, I am always found getting emotionally lost and mentally stimulated by new rhythms, hot beats, and ethereal melodies.
