ABOUT ME

I - Sam - am 34 years old, married to Judith. As a child of a mother from Finland and a father from United Kingdom/Switzerland I have multi cultural blood in me.

I (Sam) quit my job as a software developer in september 2009 and went travelling with my wife (Judith, TV journalist) through Asia for some months. We took the train from Basel, Switzerland to Moscow and from there the trans-siberian railway to Beijing.

Further destinations were Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, some days in Thailand, Malaysia and back home from Singapore.

We are both non-smokers.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to play my role in our greater story to make God's dream for this planet get one step nearer to reality.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to host people if the dates fit. There are 7.5 people living in the house, so sometimes we have to coordinate a bit (that's why status is Maybe). We try to be flexible though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met people during our travels with the trans-siberian railway in Moscow and in China and Burma. Was very interesting to meet local people who could show us places we never would have gone.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Was in Kenya at the time of the post election violence in January 2008. Lots of stories to tell about that trip that didn't turn out to be what we had planned. Travelled on the Transsiberian Railway, China and South-East Asia. Renovated an old house in Rapperswil - where we now live.
