About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just meandering. Seeing things, meeting people, and giving a little back along the way
ABOUT ME
I'm curious about the world. I recently left my job at a major entertainment company in Florida for a year of traveling before returning to the States for grad school. In the meantime, I'm meandering where I can get to. I've worked in tourism for years, so I am more interested in getting to know places from the perspective of the locals.
PHILOSOPHY
The point of life is to learn. I've always tried to direct which way my life went, and now I'm trying a new approach: Meandering. I love how one interaction leads to another and then to new experiences that you never could plan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now, I'm looking for a couch (or even a floor) to sleep on and cool people to meet. If you have the time to share your town with me, I'll happily buy you a pint or make you dinner for the company.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far only from people I know. I've been lucky to meet people around the world through my line of work. This will be a new thing staying with people I've just met. But I hear you are all cool peeps.
Interests
My favorite thing is hearing from people why they are who they are. Culture, History, Language, Religion, Geography, they all make up you. I want to learn.
I also like art and ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm currently reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. "Good Omens" by Pratchett/Gaiman is another of my favorites. I'll admit to liking the girly romance movies, but also enjoy action and thrillers. Music is a mixed bag...I'll listen to anything suggested.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to perform with a Cajun folk troupe. We traveled to festivals and schools to present traditional songs and dances. My first trip to France was with this group. We participated in international music festivals and got to stay with families in six different cities around the country.
