About Me

If you've ever seen the movie She's the Man starring Amanda Bynes, then you've basically met me. Because I'm the awkward principal played by David Cross who is really friendly but has no idea what is going on most of the time. I also identify with Amanda Bynes fierce feminism and athleticism, but if I was her I would've run away with her brother rather than do all that coming-of-age crap. Anyway, I am a friendly and open-minded person who loves working hard and traveling on a shoestring budget. I am studying environmental science in New Orleans, Louisiana currently while working as a pedicabber (bike taxi driver). I don't smoke cigarettes but no judgement of those who do, of course. I like to go out to shows but equally enjoy chilling at home. Pets are my favorite thing in the world, my dog is basically my son.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing so I can spend my money on experiences rather than accommodations, while also not displacing people from their homes. I want to meet new people and learn more every day that I am traveling. I don't want to have an experience catered to me by a hostel or hotel. I want to share my interests with people and expand my worldview.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music, movies & books... as long as they are good. Top pick for each category, in full honesty:
Music: Soko
Movie: Fantastic Planet
Book: Carsick by John Waters

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gone over a month without drinking water or changing my contacts and survived.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me about herbs and plants and your local landscape!
And cooking and building and home and lawn maintenance (I don't know how to be an adult yet)!

I can teach about music and film and some zoological tidbits, but mostly I would love to teach about radicalizing society through public art and education!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can whip you up some delicious vegetarian tacos and fried yucca while we discuss our favorite movies through a feminist/queer lens. Give me a place to sleep and I will leave you with no less than 50 movie recommendations tailored to your specific wants and needs.
