I've been hosting couchsurfers for 2 year now, and let me tell you this I love it!!! I've had the chance of meeting so much interested people, spending time with the traveler makes me want to start my own journey as well, so many beautiful and adventurous stories, i think couchsurfing is the right way to travel the world
